On this excursion we research ancient history, confront ourselves with nowadays local environment and experience the nature's beauty of the desert.  

From the Bay Nakari we follow Wadi Anba Ut to the west. On the shore there are the remains of a roman harbour which was the starting point for the caravan route we are partially following on this trip.

Along the track we see different roman mining settlements where milling stones can be found. With this mills, gold was separated from ordinary stone. Later on we find an old well with hieroglyphic rock drawings dating back to the Ptolemaic times - the last Pharaohs of Egypt

In the shade of an acacia tree the Bedouins will prepare refreshments such as tea and coffee. 

On the way back to the coast we pause shortly to enjoy sunset.

The whole trip takes about 5 hours.
